Specimen Submission Information :

You will need Acrobat Reader to be able to read the PDF files. Click on the Acrobat Reader image to download it.

Blood Specimens:
All blood specimens must be sent the day they are drawn via priority overnight. The shipping box must include a gel pack. Blood specimen submissions do not require a pathology report.
Please note: We have reached our accrual on blood submissions, so we will no longer be receiving blood specimens

Cutting Schemas:
This option is to be used only by institutions that have permission from Monica Bertanolli to submit slides instead of blocks. Please click the link below for the cutting schemas.

Labelling Specimens:
Purple top tubes (usually 2) receive 1 Searle label strip each.
Red top tubes receive 1 Searle label strip each.
Blocks receive 1 Searle label strip each.
Remaining labels are to be fastened to the tracking form and submitted with the specimen.

Tissue Blocks:
Blocks do not have to be sent priority overnight. Blocks do not require a gel pack. A pathology report must accompany a block submission.
